How to Find Brand Gifting Programs (Where to Look and How to Apply)
Lots of brands openly invite creators to apply for gifting. They call it many things: a creator program, an ambassador program, a PR list, an influencer program, product seeding or a community program. The hard part isn’t whether these programs exist. It’s finding them, keeping track, and applying well.
Here’s where to look, and how to turn a long list of links into real collaborations.
Know the names
When you search, use all the different labels brands use. Programs that may include gifting often appear under:
- Creator program or creator collective
- Ambassador program or brand ambassador
- Influencer program or influencer application
- PR list, press list or PR packages
- Affiliate program (often paid by commission, sometimes with free product)
- Collaborations, “Collab with us” or “Work with us”
- Community or insider program
Some of these are purely commission-based affiliate programs and won’t send product. Read the page carefully so you know what you’re applying for.
Where to look
1. The brand’s website footer
Scroll to the very bottom of a brand’s website. Links like “Ambassadors,” “Affiliates,” “Creators,” “Collaborate” or “Influencers” very often live in the footer, next to “Contact” and “FAQ.”
2. Search with simple tricks
Try searches like these, swapping in your niche:
- skincare brand ambassador program apply
- “creator program” coffee brand
- “PR list” sign up beauty brand
- [Brand name] influencer application
- [Brand name] ambassador program
Searching by brand name plus “ambassador” or “creators” is often the fastest way to find a hidden form.
3. Social media bios and highlights
Check the brand’s Instagram and TikTok bios, link-in-bio pages and story highlights. Brands that love creators often link an application or mention “Creators: apply here.”
4. Product packaging and inserts
Many brands slip a card in the box: “Love us? Join our community” or “Become an ambassador.” Next time you order from a brand you like, check the inserts and the order confirmation email.
5. Tagged and creator content
Look at a brand’s tagged posts. If lots of creators are posting with their products, the brand probably has a gifting or creator program. Sometimes creators even mention how they joined.
6. Newsletters
Sign up for the newsletters of brands you’d love to work with. Creator program launches and calls for ambassadors are often announced there first.
7. Shop platforms
If you’re eligible for TikTok Shop’s affiliate program in the U.S., sellers can offer free or refundable products to affiliate creators through TikTok’s Affiliate Center. (See our TikTok Shop affiliate guide.)
8. A curated directory
Hunting down forms one brand at a time takes hours. A curated directory saves that time: Unresourced keeps a growing list of brand gifting and creator programs in one place, so you can browse by niche and apply in one tap from a single profile.
How to apply well
Most program applications ask similar questions. Prepare your answers once and reuse them, adjusting the personal part for each brand:
- Full name, email, mailing country
- Social handles and, if asked, follower counts
- Your niche and a short bio
- Your portfolio link
- Why you love the brand (be specific: a product, a moment, a value)
- What content you’d create
A few tips that help:
- Be accurate. Never inflate follower counts or claim past collaborations you didn’t do.
- Be specific. “I’ve used your oat milk in my morning latte for a year” beats “I love your brand.”
- Match the brand’s vibe. Link the portfolio videos that fit their aesthetic.
- Read the terms. Know what’s expected if you’re accepted.
Keep track
Applying widely works best with a simple tracker:
- Brand, program name and link
- Date applied
- Status (applied, accepted, product received, content delivered)
- Contact name, if you get one
- Notes (what they asked for, deadlines)
Most programs won’t reply right away, and some won’t reply at all. That’s normal. Keep applying, keep improving your portfolio, and celebrate every acceptance.
Spotting the fakes
Real gifting programs don’t ask you to pay. Be cautious of:
- Fees to “unlock” free products or join a program
- Requests to buy the product first and get “reimbursed later” by an unknown contact
- Messages from accounts impersonating brands (check the handle and website carefully)
- Pressure to share passwords or sensitive personal details
When in doubt, go to the brand’s official website and apply there.
When you’re accepted
Say thank you, confirm what’s expected, film while the excitement is fresh, deliver on time, and disclose gifted content when you post it on your own channels (the U.S. FTC’s influencer guide explains how). A great first collaboration is how “one-time gift” turns into “let’s keep working together.”
